Assistive Technology Outcomes and Benefits
Professionals
In Spring, 2008, the SEAT Center received a grant from the NEC Foundation of America for the National Assistive Technology Training for School Psychologists project. Funding will be used to develop a ‘hybrid’ innovative professional development module to be delivered through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) to practicing school psychologists. The hybrid approach, involving both on-line and hands-on experiences with assistive technology (AT) knowledge and content, will be designed to prepare school psychologists to more effectively participate in AT consideration processes for students with disabilities.
